First of all, if you go to Seli(24kms from Veria) you must go to the National Ski center .It has lifts, ski or snowboard schools , shops for renting equipment, coffee shops, and restaurants. Also you can visit Three - Five Wells(3-5 Pigadia) 19kms from Veria,with basically the same activities.Mt Voras(Kaimaktsalan) 43kms from Veria, is οne additional winter resort.
In spring you can visit Saint Nicolas (Agios Nikolaos),a heaven on earth in the heart of Imathia.There you can enjoy yourself at the weekend and you can stay at Vermio Hotel for the night.During the day you can go for long walks to discover the sixty acres of beautiful land, visit sites of historical interest and the river Arapitsa, where women and childern drowned themselves to escape death from the Turks.You must go boating to Alikes and enjoy the Greek sea.
In summer you can go to Katerini or the Olympic Coast for swimming, sunbathing and relaxation under your umbrella next to the sea or drink your cofee watching young people enjoying all sorts of water sports.

There are facilities for volleyball, handball, basketball, football, athletics, cycling, running on uneven ground etc. There is also a weightlifting hall, 6 locker rooms, first aid post, free parking space etc.You can do all kinds of sports you want free and then you can take a shower in the clean locker room facilities and then you can go to the canteen of the Stadium to drink something.
Theater 'Melina Merkouri'
Just outside the center of Veria,there is a grove,among thick pine hills,where the open air theater "Melina Mercouri" is located.It has all the necessary facilities: space,a backstage area, lobby- reports, canteen, 1700 seats for the public and free parking space. In the summer the theater hosts many theatrical productions, concerts, operas, exhibitions and dance performances, which, combined with the beautiful summer evenings,leave wonderful memories for both artists and the public who attend.
House of the Arts
The House of the Arts has all the necessary technical equipment to accommodate excellent cultural events, plays, conferences,symposiums and exhibitions.
Besides the well-thought out stage with automatic scenery change,full sound capacity, special effects and many other features that make it unique,there are additional auxiliary rooms, foyers,backstage rooms ,office spaces and parking facilities. Equestrian Club Veria
The Equestrian Club Veria was founded in 2001 and covers an area of 12 acres.Located in beautiful surroundings in the countryside and with ample parking space, it is just 20 minutes by car from the city center.Created to promote the sport of riding ,it offers lessons of a high level.Experienced instructors teach courses of all levels. Those who are interested may participate in Crossing racings in specially designated areas, but also in calm rides in the outskirts.Combining exercise in the fresh air with relaxation,it is an appropriate outlet for your dream adventures.
Aliakmon Dam
A very beautiful area just outside Veria,is the Bridge of Aliakmon.The landscape there is more beautiful in the summer months with the beautiful contrast of the blue river with the green of the surrounding area. What can you do there?
~On the left side of the bridge you can go jogging, walking, biking, rollerblading.By the river there is a special 3.5 km route for the above activities.So if you go and turn back you've covered 7 km.The place is especially suitable for those who are tired of running around in EAK every day. Also on the right side and after you cross the bridge you can go fishing or do canoe cayak! Moreover there is a recreation area there where you can have a nice picnic or BBQ or even go camping.
Night Life!
Veria at night is a city full of life.Nightclubs are ready to satisfy the most demanding people. There are a lot of clubs.
The first and the best of all is 'Must Club' a new club and the bigger in Veria.In 'Must Club' there are 2 floors with view in dance floor,the best of all is that 'Must Club' welcomes famous singers and people from all over Greece!
Also,there are the Bars: Prive, Public, Alobar etc in the centre of Veria. There are a lot of Cafe-bars in the street Elia and these are for calmer and quite people!
Those who prefer to spend their evening with good food there are restaurants Elia and Barbouta with live music and the Gkantidis on the road to Naoussa.Also there are Vergiotiko, Petrino, Goularas,Golden Chicken, Acropolis.In this tavernes-Restaurants you can sample all the greek tastes,wines and tsipouro!
